Basket making with Eirian
Eirian is an accomplished basket maker and tutor and has been on her willow journey for 8 years. Her work covers making baskets and backpacks, teaching regular workshops to community groups, schools and private clients as well as being involved with arts projects involving willow. Her work is characterized by strong curved shapes, the use of Welsh carthen and plaits.
Mae Eirian yn wneuthurwr basgedi a thiwtor cydnabyddedig ac mae hi wedi bod yn gwehyddu helyg ers oddeutu wyth mlynedd. Mae’n hoff o wneud bagiau cefn a basgedi ac mae ‘n cynnal gweithdai i grwpiau cymunedol ac Ysgolion. Mae hi hefyd yn ymwneud hefo prosiectau celf arloesol yn y gymuned. Elfennau cryf yn ei gwaith yw siapiau crynion a’r defnydd o garthen Gymreig fel addurn.
